THE SELF

The internal construct produced by The Mind to simulate continuity. It is not a soul. Not a person. Not essence or spirit. It emerges when repetitive interpretation is mistaken for Identity. The Self is not static. It is maintained by The Loop and reinforced by Story. It cannot exist outside The Mind. It is not who you are. It is the echo The Mind needs to preserve. There is no one beneath it. There is no one to protect.
